Community Engagement & Friendship outreach

 Our community engagement and friendship outreach program offers field trips, inclusive activities, and planned inclusive group events. This program is an integrated and inclusive social recreational program that gives children, their families, and the general population opportunities to join one another. Our vision and goal is to develop an enjoyable inclusive social recreational program where children can make friends, access community events, develop social skills, and connect with their community. This is a grant funded project serving ages 3-21.

This is a program that suits children ages 3-17. It provides an opportunity for children to select from a wide variety of enriching activities and opportunities. The individual will receive support in achieving social recreational goals while participating in activities such as, but not limited to, fitness, hobbies, leisure activities, etc. Our goal is to offer a program with diverse communities for children that have intellectual or developmental disabilities focused on social growth, peer interactions, developing friendships, expanding social skills and enhancing current skills. Children will have an opportunity to connect with other children in the general population while out in the community.
