Ranesha & Taneisha Thompson
The Program Director is highly experienced and a dedicated professional who leads the team in providing exceptional services to each participant in the program. Ranesha is passionate about promoting inclusion, independence, and the well-being of each participant. Her leadership and commitment to ongoing professional development contribute to the success and growth of our participants. She received her Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2021. She has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities since 2010. She has worked for Ventura County of Education, and Oxnard Elementary school district, supporting children with Individualized Educational Plans (IEP's) and 504 behavioral plans. Ranesha began as a Behavior technician implementing intervention plans that focus on communication skills, play skills, resolving challenging behaviors, and taught positive replacement behaviors. She was a clinical supervisor where she helped develop ABA programs, train staff and coached parents on implementing social skills, daily living skills, community safety, and coping skills.
The Program Coordinator is a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who plays a vital role to ensure the smooth operation of the program. Taneisha works closely with the Program Director to implement individualized plans and ensures services are delivered effectively and efficiently. Her passion for working with different abilities stems from a genuine desire to promote inclusion, equality, and social justice. Taneisha has held positions such as facility manager in (residential facilities) group homes, a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional), and a direct care staff working with children and adults with Intellectual Disabilities. With a background in psychology, she strives to approach situations with empathy, understanding, and a keen awareness of behaviors and emotions. She is empowered to approach challenges with a holistic perspective, considering the emotional well-being of those involved.
